IATA的簽證資訊更清楚: Qatar (QA) TWOV (Transit Without Visa): Visa required, except for Holders of onward tickets for a max. transit time of 24 hours. - Holders of a prearranged Stopover Paid by Carrier (STPC) issued to those in transit for min. 8 hours and max. 24 hours are permitted to leave the transit area, if holding passports valid for at least 3 months and subject to approval from immigration. 24小時內的轉機都可以不用簽證(留在過境區不入境)。如果有申請到卡達航空提供的過境免費住宿(STPC)，也可以不用簽證(我想應該是會有特別安排帶入境)。 當然這也都是假設你前後航空的行李是會互轉的，如果必須要入境領行李的話(譬如搭廉航轉傳統航空)，那自然是要有簽證了。
